The Nigerian Army has officially announced the commencement of applications for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026, calling on qualified Nigerians to apply for commission as officers.
According to the Army, the DSSC is open to both civilians and serving military personnel who possess relevant professional qualifications. Successful candidates will be commissioned into specialised corps of the Nigerian Army to support national defence and security operations.

Nigerian Army Signals
Nigerian Army Medical Corps
Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers
Nigerian Army Education Corps

The Army emphasized that the application process is completely free and must be completed online.
The recruitment portal will be open from January 7 to February 4, 2026, and interested applicants are encouraged to apply early and ensure accurate submission of information.
