The maiden edition of the Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi Ndokwa Has Got Talent competition has ended in grand style, with Japhet Mamuzo (MJ Japhet), a gifted lead guitarist, emerging as the overall winner.
Mamuzo captivated both judges and the audience with his exceptional guitar performance, earning him the grand prize of ₦5 million.
A graceful dancer, Ochonogor Adaeze, clinched the position of 1st runner-up, taking home ₦3 million, while Okuchuku Sunny (Sunnysunny Okuchukwu) secured 2nd runner-up, receiving ₦2 million.
In his remarks, Mamuzo expressed gratitude to the convener, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi, for creating a platform that elevates young talents in Ndokwa.
“On behalf of all the finalists and contestants, I am truly grateful to Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi for believing in us and providing a platform for us to showcase our talents,” Mamuzo said.
Event coordinator, Idi Presley Ifeanyichukwu, applauded the success of the first edition, revealing that plans are already underway to make the next edition bigger and better.
“We are already working on making the next edition even more spectacular,” he stated. “I am grateful to my principal, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi, for his continued support for the Ndokwa people, and I look forward to seeing more talented Ndokwa entertainers shine.”
The talent show has been widely celebrated as a major boost to the entertainment landscape in Ndokwa, providing young creatives with visibility and life-changing opportunities.
