The Light Up Ndokwa Association has called on Ndokwa sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora, to unite under its platform as it continues to advocate for development and inclusion in the region.

In a statement issued on April 22, 2026, the group described itself as the foremost pan-Ndokwa movement championing the interests of the people, particularly in addressing long-standing challenges such as poor electricity supply, inadequate road infrastructure, and limited political inclusion.

The association highlighted its past actions, noting that it had taken Ndokwa’s demands directly to the seat of power through a peaceful protest at Government House during the administration of Ifeanyi Okowa. According to the group, the protest was aimed at drawing attention to the plight of Ndokwa communities and pressing for urgent government intervention.

It further recalled its demonstration in Kwale during a political declaration event, where members openly expressed dissatisfaction over what they described as the sidelining of Ndokwa interests. The association emphasized that these actions were driven by the need to amplify the voice of ordinary citizens, including market women, unemployed youths, and rural dwellers facing persistent power outages.

Reiterating its commitment, the group urged the people of Ndokwa to align with its vision, stating that collective action remains key to achieving meaningful development in the area.

“This is where courage meets action. This is where Ndokwa’s voice will no longer be ignored,” the statement read.

The association reaffirmed its resolve to continue engaging relevant stakeholders, demanding accountability, and pursuing initiatives that would improve the socio-economic conditions of Ndokwa communities.
