JAMB Introduces Home O’Level Result Upload System for Candidates
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system that allows candidates to upload and verify their O’Level results from home without having to visit a Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre.

The new technology-driven process is designed to make O’Level result submission easier, faster and more reliable by allowing JAMB to verify candidates’ Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results directly with the examination bodies that conducted them.

The initiative currently begins with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, announced the development in a statement, saying the initiative was introduced to improve service delivery and reduce errors associated with the previous manual upload process.

“As a responsive organisation committed to providing efficient and accessible services, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has facilitated the verification of candidates’ O’Level results directly from the various examination bodies responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, beginning with the West African Examinations Council.”

Why JAMB Introduced the New O’Level Upload System

According to JAMB, the new system is intended to address some of the challenges candidates previously experienced when uploading their O’Level results at CBT centres.

The board identified several problems associated with the manual process, including misplaced or mixed-up result documents, submission of fraudulent or unverified results, and errors that may occur when candidates manually enter their examination subjects and grades.

The new system is also expected to reduce the need for candidates to make unnecessary trips to CBT centres, particularly during peak admission periods when candidates often face long queues, network congestion and delays.

Benjamin said the initiative places candidate convenience at the centre of JAMB’s service delivery.

“By using technology to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual processes, JAMB is putting candidate ease of service delivery at the centre of its operations.”

How to Upload Your O’Level Result From Home

Candidates who wish to use the new result verification system are required to complete the verification process before applying their results to their JAMB profile.

The process involves the following steps:

  1. Visit the designated JAMB O’Level result verification platform.

  2. Enter your National Identification Number (NIN) and select “Verify NIN.”

  3. Select the number of examination sittings and choose the relevant examination body.

  4. Click “Continue.”

  5. Enter your email address and phone number.

  6. Select “Pay Now” and complete the required payment using a debit card or bank transfer.

  7. Enter your examination number, examination series and examination year.

  8. Obtain your Verification Code.

  9. Send “VERIFY” followed by your Verification Code to 55019 or 66019.

  10. Your result will then be uploaded, and you will receive a notification confirming the process.

Candidates With Two O’Level Sittings

Candidates who have two examination sittings are required to complete an additional step through the JAMB e-Facility portal.

After obtaining their Verification Code, candidates should log into their JAMB e-Facility account and select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.”

They should then enter the Verification Code and select between five and nine subjects, ensuring that no subject is entered more than once.

After reviewing the information provided, candidates should select “Apply the O’Level Results” to complete the process.

A confirmation should be displayed after the application has been successfully completed.

JAMB Says New System Will Reduce CBT Centre Congestion

JAMB said the new system is expected to significantly reduce the pressure on CBT centres, particularly during busy admission periods.

The board explained that allowing candidates to complete the process remotely would help reduce long queues, network congestion and delays associated with high traffic at CBT centres.

The initiative is also expected to improve the accuracy of candidates’ O’Level information by enabling JAMB to verify results directly with the examination bodies rather than relying entirely on manually submitted documents.

JAMB to Expand Result Verification System

JAMB said it will continue working with examination bodies and relevant government agencies to improve its services and make them more accessible to candidates.

The board indicated that the technology-driven approach will help strengthen the verification of candidates’ academic credentials while making the admission process more convenient.

Candidates are advised to carefully follow JAMB’s instructions and ensure that the examination details they provide are accurate before completing the verification and result application process.

Kwale Post will continue to provide updates on JAMB admissions, UTME, O’Level result verification and other important information affecting prospective university, polytechnic and college students.
