Lagos, August 23, 2025 – The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive governance, promising that 50 per cent of both elective and appointive positions within the party will be reserved for youths and women across Nigeria.
Speaking at a high-profile event in Lagos, ADC leaders described the move as a bold step toward bridging the gap in governance, empowering young people, and giving women a stronger voice in shaping the nation’s future.
The event also witnessed a wave of defections from other political parties, with the ADC welcoming new members into its fold. Party officials emphasized that the ADC remains a home for all Nigerians who believe in fairness, justice, and progressive leadership.
“The future of Nigeria lies in the hands of our youths and women,” an ADC spokesperson said. “By giving them equal participation in decision-making, we are ensuring sustainable development and promoting good governance.”
The party assured that it would continue to champion inclusivity, grassroots empowerment, and people-oriented leadership, positioning itself as a credible alternative ahead of upcoming elections.
