Abuja, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can begin printing their Original Result Slips from Wednesday.
The announcement was made by JAMB's Public Communication Adviser, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in a statement issued in Abuja.
According to the Board, the Original Result Slip is an important document required for admission processing into tertiary institutions across the country. The slip contains detailed information about a candidate's performance in the examination and serves as an official record of the result.
JAMB advised candidates to visit the Board's official portal and follow the necessary procedures to obtain their Original Result Slips. Candidates are expected to pay the prescribed fee before accessing and printing the document.
The Board further urged candidates to ensure that the information on their result slips is accurate and to keep the document safe, as it will be required during admission screening and registration processes by higher institutions.
The release of the Original Result Slip marks another important stage in the 2026 admission exercise, as candidates seek placement into universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions nationwide.
JAMB reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a transparent and efficient admission process while encouraging candidates to rely only on official channels for information and services related to the admission exercise.
